This month's issue of the online architectural magazine DEZEEN ran a sweet article about the Swallowfield Barn. The photographs were taken by a really great Vancouver architectural photographer Ema Peter who does an amazing job of making buildings and spaces come to life, capturing the spirit of something that you feel more than see. It took us about two years from start to finish. We did the work with a lot of friend-volunteer help and though it did feel at times as if progress was slow, we are very proud of the finished result. I love being in the barn to feed the animals, work in the new woodwork shop or gather over dinner in the loft. It feels like a living thing. It also made for a great introduction to the new architectural firm Motiv Architects started by our son Asher and his colleague, Tracey.
