About 17 years ago Jenny and I joined a couple of other Langley folks to start Shot in the Dark, connected to the Toronto Film Circuit, now one of 170 non profit independent groups across Canada, that show Independent, Canadian and Foreign Language films to a steady audience of faithful viewers who love good films like we do; what used to be called Art House Films though the lines are somewhat blurred today.
I'm in Toronto for three days of the Toronto International Film Festival, known as TIFF, to connect with other groups, see good films that we might show to our audience and get into the magic of the dark theater as independent directors and producers show their talent. Just another great way to experience good stories. I saw three excellent films today. It would have been great to sit around with the good people in our organizing committee, share some good food and wine and talk film.
