The first call to Muslim prayers was not far behind and far too early, but somehow comforting and I drifted for sometime on prayers and sleepiness. Saturday was a day of driving around and meeting people as is the custom with promises of meeting and plates of rice to follow. The temperature is quite pleasant at this time of year and I am not missing the rain thus far.
Sunday it was good to worship with these exuberant folk in their colorful patterns. What happened to North Americans on this dress thing? Sunday afternoon was time for napping and making mud block for an outdoor oven we are planning to build. Time for Pizza in Kabala and homemade bread.
I spent my first day in school. There are many new faces after two and a half years. The Ebola Crisis is still the talk. It was good to lead the children in opening exercises this morning. So much to see and do. More to follow. I will attempt to load some photos. Blessings
