I come from a relatively large family of seven children but by Dutch immigrant standards that was middling size. The family I married into had 11 children and I have a brother that married into a family of 13 children. No twins, one mom, one dad. So maybe it is no surprise that when Annie and Klaas Siebring left the Netherlands in 1952 they would do their part in populating the Canadian landscape that was eager to receive the farming couple. We celebrated Annie’s 90th birthday this weekend and there were a lot of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the mix. Much for which to be thankful, for sure!

Amazing to gather the family together to celebrate a mother's 90th birthday. Recognize many faces and see family resemblances of the younger members.
