I am also reminded repeatedly about the enormous blessing that our health care system is. Most of the world has nothing like this. From what I have seen myself and from what I know from friends in Africa, that gap is enormous. I know people have their frustrations, but I personally have only had great care from our family doctors, from nurses and doctors in the hospitals I’ve been in on a couple of critical occasions. From what I have seen and read in the last few weeks I am humbled by the dedication and caring of our health care professionals. I am more than happy to pay through deductions and taxes for what we have.
A friend passed this on today. Can’t watch without tearing up. It’s a choir of women physicians in Toronto called Voices Rock Medicine singing The Rankin Family’s We Rise Again.
